Handle and pin bent in a one piece configuration. Here's a low cost pin available with a hole or groove for applications requiring frequent removals. Made as a standard in 1018/12L14 carbon steel, this pin is available in higher strength 1045 or 1144 and can be heat treated. Zinc plated.
Wire lock pins are like having pin and cotter in one secure assembly. The wire loop is pulled over the pin end to lock it in place or remove it. This one-piece fasteners eliminates cotter pin loss and fits most "quick release" applications.

The new Bow-Tie Locking Cotter pin works like a Hairpin Cotter, but locks itself on! Push or pull cotter leg into hole, Bow-Tie snaps into a zero-tension locked position. It is easily released by lifting loop and sliding off, but reduces the risk of being accidentally knocked or vibrated off, as with Hairpin Cotters. Made from MB Spring Wire with an attractive zinc plated finish. Use in any hole location to ensure secure fastening.
