To celebrate receiving its ISO 9001 certification, Pivot Point, Inc. held an ISO 9001 Appreciation Luncheon on April 12, 2000. The event represented the successful completion of a yearlong effort to create and internally audit a quality system that would meet the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The company was audited at the end of January by the British Standards Institute (BSI), a qualified registrar of ISO, and was approved for certification.
The company shut down for two hours so employees as well as state and local dignitaries could honor their achievement. Dignitaries in attendance included:
- Wisconsin Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary Philip Albert
- Wisconsin State Senator (District 13) Scott Fitzgerald
- Wisconsin State Representative (District 38) Steven Foti
- Dodge County Director of Planning & Development David Carpenter
- Dodge County Board Chairman Chuck Swain
- M.P.T.C. Business & Industrial Coordinator Tom Jacobs
- Members of the Hustisford Industrial Commission

In commemoration of Pivot Point's achievement, company President Rue Leitzke was presented with two honorary plaques at the luncheon. Deputy Secretary Albert awarded Leitzke with a Certificate of Commendation on behalf of Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson who could not be in attendance. Pivot Point was also presented with a Citation by the Legislature from the Wisconsin State Legislature in Madison by Senator Fitzgerald and Representative Foti.
In his remarks at the Luncheon, company President Rue Leitzke referred to the ISO 9001 certification as a “framework” for the company to continue building upon. He congratulated his employees on the successful completion of their hard work and devotion to meeting the quality system standards of ISO.
